‘Rooted’

Final year University Project

‘When we consider the undergrowth of trees we think of generic root structures. We often don’t give thought to the tiny threadlike connections of mycorrhizal networks between roots, communicating and transporting nutrients for the trees to survive. This work explores these hidden mycelium networks, demonstrating how the interconnections of growth are the secret scaffolding of entire woodland environments’.
